WHAT OUR STAFF SAY ABOUT US
Andy landed in Melbourne in the winter of 2016. He was an international student enrolled in a two-year master’s degree in accounting and finance at Deakin University – Burwood Campus. Upon completion of his Master’s degree, Andy worked as an Accounts Officer with a laboratory services company on a casual basis, but Andy was seeking a more hands on role with better growth opportunities. So he started with a three-month contract with PF Olsen as an Assistant Accountant. Andy’s grit and dedication became visible and his passion for the work that he was doing saw him recognised as a valuable member of the team. PF Olsen values its employees and aims to support them in their career journey. We are always in favour of identifying and supporting the right talent. We decided to support Andy’s visa application and sponsor him. Andy was granted a Temporary Skill Shortage Visa in 2021. His Permanent Residency application has been supported by PF Olsen and is underway.
During his tenure with PF Olsen, Andy has always been enthusiastic about taking on extra responsibilities, learning new skills and has developed his professional career in more ways than one.
The recent business growth provided an opportunity to work with Andy to define his career succession strategy. He has recently stepped up in the role of an “accountant” for ABZECO, PF Olsen’s subsidiary and is also looking after corporate accounting for PF Olsen. Andy’s progress has had a domino impact on the finance team and they have been able to expand their experience within the realms of accounting functions.
“PF Olsen is a great place to work. I love the work culture here. The people are good to work with and I enjoy the breadth of work I undertake.
Every single day of work is a happy day! I’m grateful for being a part of the PF Olsen Family.”
PF Olsen is lucky to have Andy as a part of our team and we hope to provide him like many others a rewarding career.
